Download C2CMM
Overview
C2CMM is a Windows-based software application designed to make digital caliper measurements fast, straightforward, and free from errors associated with manual dimensional chain calculations. Every measurement is automatically archived with a timestamp. Current or historical inspection reports can be printed at any time.
Customers increasingly expect continuous, fully documented measurements of manufactured parts. Quality inspection reports accompanying every shipment are now industry standard. Furthermore, measuring 100% of manufactured parts—with results archived and made available upon customer request—is becoming a common requirement. C2CMM was developed to meet these expectations and, above all, to elevate product quality.
The caliper must be equipped with a USB or Bluetooth communication interface and connected to a PC. C2CMM has been tested with Mitutoyo digital calipers (model 500-203-30) using the 06AFM380C USB cable. However, C2CMM is compatible with any caliper equipped with a communication interface that transmits readings as ASCII text.
The software is fully functional and free of charge. It is provided as a portable version requiring no installation: simply download the ZIP package, extract it, and run c2cmm.exe
Please note that caliper measurement accuracy largely depends on the operator’s experience. C2CMM does not replace a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), but rather complements it.

Quick Start Guide
Upon launching the application, create a NEW PART. Select the drawing file (PDF or JPG) and enter the part name—the technical drawing will appear on the screen. Use the mouse wheel to zoom in or out, and switch to EDIT mode using the toggle switch on the top toolbar.
In the right-hand panel, click ADD DIMENSION, then left-click near the feature you want to measure on the drawing—a measurement field will appear at that location. Complete the fields: Nominal, Lower Tol., and Upper Tol. Each dimension can be annotated (e.g., “central hole Ø”, “distance from hole edge to part wall”, etc.). Repeat this process to add subsequent dimensions.
On technical drawings, dimensions are typically referenced to hole centerlines, which cannot be measured directly with a caliper. This is where the primary advantage of C2CMM comes in: dimensions can be defined using simple formulas, and C2CMM automatically calculates the resulting value. Dimension numbering is generated automatically. When formulating an expression, prefix each dimension with the letter D (Dimension).
Example: Suppose we want to determine dimension D4—the distance from the left wall of the part to the hole centerline. We measure:
- D1: total width of the part,
- D2: distance from the right wall to the hole edge,
- D3: hole diameter.
The formula for dimension D4 is entered as: D1-D2-(D3/2). For better clarity, you can draw auxiliary dimension lines directly on the drawing. The dimension line menu is available in the top-left corner of the screen while in EDIT mode.
A keyboard and mouse are not required during the measurement process. Pressing the data transmission button on the caliper sends the value to the application and automatically moves the cursor to the next dimension field. Once the final dimension is recorded, a prompt appears indicating whether the part is conforming or non-conforming (Pass/Fail). Pressing the caliper button again initiates the measurement procedure for the next part.
